When surveyed in April 2017, nearly 85% of member libraries indicated they were “very satisfied” with SCKLS. Remaining respondents said “satisfied.” To see all the survey questions and responses go to: http://sckls.info/DocumentCenter/View/1766.
A report and recommendations from the survey responses is being prepared and should be available in October 2017. SCKLS uses a continuous improvement model to regularly evaluate its grants and services to member libraries. During 2017 a system-wide assessment and planning process is being conducted. To date the process has included an online survey as well as an assessment and planning meeting held April 24 in Wichita.
One online survey respondent wrote: “Overall, I am highly satisfied with SCKLS grants, services and staff. Grants-in-aid are extremely valuable in helping provide quality service to our library users. I greatly enjoy the workshops that are provided… Automation at my library would not be possible if not for…[SCKLS]. SCKLS is a very important resource that makes excellent service possible at my library.”
