General Technology Grant
For the past 14 years the South Central Kansas Library System has made available to its membership the General Technology Grant Program. This grant currently distributes $40,000 per year in maximum $1,000 matching grants. The grants are aimed at assisting the membership with the purchase of small technology projects such as:
- New computers
- Printers
- Fax machines
- Cash registers
- Software solutions
- Other library related technologies
Overview
The General Technology Grant Program runs in two rounds annually. Round one opens in early January with awards being made in April. Round two opens in August with awards going out in December.
Member libraries are eligible to receive ONE General Technology Grant per year as long as funds are available and the request meets grant requirements. School districts and libraries with more than one branch are considered a single entity and can only submit one request per agency per year.
Timeline - Round 2
- Opens: Monday, Aug. 2, 2010
- Closes: Friday, Nov. 26, 2010
- Award: Friday, Dec. 10, 2010
- Copy of final paid receipt due: Wednesday, May 30, 2011
