Summer Reading Grant
Since 2006, the South Central Kansas Library System Summer Reading Grant has provided funding to public libraries participating in the Summer Reading Program that have completed the necessary requirements. The one hundred dollar grant provides additional funding for incentives, programs, or other materials to enhance the public library’s Summer Reading Program.

Public libraries participating in the Summer Reading Program that complete the Summer Reading Program Evaluation Form (the data form) and complete the SCKLS Summer Reading Program Materials Form (reading logs, bookmarks, etc.) for the upcoming year are eligible for the Summer Reading Grant.  Although there is not a grant application to fill out, public libraries are responsible to complete the two components required for grant eligibility during the eligibility time frames.  Grant funds are disbursed in late November.  Information about the Summer Reading Program, Summer Reading Grant, and time frame requirements are supplied through the SCKLS-PUB Listserv and are available on the SCKLS web site.

Grant forms will be available beginning June 2016.
