Libraries Transform Grant
Grant Information and Application Form
The purpose of the “Libraries
Transform” grant is to annually provide a SCKLS member public, academic, school
district or special library with a matching grant up to $25,000 towards a
project and program of change for their community library. The objectives
of the grant are to:
awareness and support for transforming the local library.
the perception of the library as essential to the community.
library advocates to influence local, state and national decision-makers.

|Grant availability announced.
|By October 31, 2019
|Applicant library director and board chair or college/school administrative officer must meet with SCKLS Director to review grant guidelines.
|By November 8, 2019
|Deadline for grant application submission.
|By December 20, 2019
|SCKLS Executive Committee reviews and selects grant recipient(s).
|By December 31, 2019
||SCKLS Award check distributed to grant recipient(s).
|By December 31, 2020
||Program/project must be completed, funds expended and recognition documentation submitted to SCKLS.
The primary purpose and
costs associated with this grant application cannot be for projects or programs
to repair or maintain for roof, heating/ventilation, electrical or other
The costs identified in
this grant application cannot/will not be duplicated in the applicant’s
other program/project funding or in applications for other SCKLS grant programs
