SCKLS Public Library Members may be eligible for the following Professional Services Reimbursement Grants:
Architectural Services Grant
SCKLS offers a one-time reimbursement grant of up to $3,500 to public libraries that contract for the professional services of an architectural firm for the purposes of preparing a preliminary library building project feasibility study or for preparing a proposal for major library architectural renovations or improvements. The scope of a library building project or major library architectural renovations or improvements must be greater than $100,000 to be eligible for grant funding consideration. Accounting Review Grant
SCKLS offers a one-time reimbursement grant of up to $2,500 to public libraries that contract for the professional services through the firm of The Loyd Group, Certified Public Accountants, Galva https://www.loyd-group.com/ for purposes of reviewing and/or developing Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) for the library’s financial management. Financial Software Training / Consulting Grant
SCKLS offers a one-time reimbursement grant of up to $1,500 to public library staff or public library board treasurers who use financial software such as QuickBooks on behalf of the library’s financial management. The training or consulting must be provided by an audit or accounting firm knowledgeable with the Kansas Municipal Audit and Accounting Guide (KMAAG) or a firm that provides audit or accounting services to the public library’s municipality. Fundraising Services Grant
SCKLS offers a one-time reimbursement grant of up to $2,500 to public libraries that contract for the professional services through a community foundation, fundraising firm or fundraising consultant for the purposes of planning, assistance or training related to a library building project. The scope of a library building project or major library architectural renovations or improvements must be greater than $100,000 to be eligible for grant funding.
